The SW FL Military Museum & Library is hosting a National group, Voices for Vets whose mission is to bring music therapy to Veterans. This entertainment will be combined with a Veteran Resource Fair Saturday, June 8th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. If you are a democracy-loving high school student interested in a $30,000 college scholarship or a patriotic middle school student interested in winning $5,000, these scholarships may be for you.

Voices of Veterans Every Veteran has a story to tell, and the Voices of Veterans Oral History Program seeks to record these stories of courage and service to inspire Texans for generations to come. The Texas Veterans Land Board is a natural host for the program, managing nine Texas State Veterans Homes which currently provide long-term care for.

Before the show starts, Voices of Vets passes out gifts for our veterans. This may consist of lei’s, flags, hats, beads, or other items. Our goal during each performance is to help make our veterans feel special, and to let them know they are not forgotten!
